About this Webinar

MonmouthCares is one of fifteen Care Management Organizations in New Jersey Statewide Children’s System of Care. As the Care Management Organization (CMO) for Monmouth County, New Jersey it has the responsibility for face-to-face care coordination, comprehensive service planning for children, youth and their families who have complex challenges/needs. MonmouthCares continues to expand its support for local community resource development.

This 1-hour/30-minute session will be held live at MonmouthCares, along with the panel there will be an audience of their staff for an exciting conversation. Attendees will be given a glimpse into the work being done every day of Care Management and have the amazing opportunity to ask questions. The areas of discussion will include the history of MonmouthCares, Wraparound/Child Family Teams, and the use of TCOM Tools.

Kenneth McGill spent the last 12 years at Rutgers University Behavioral Health Care serving as the statewide trainer on Wraparound, the fundamental evidence-based practice offered throughout the New Jersey Children’s System of Care (CSOC), and the Child and Adolescent Needs and Strengths (CANS) curriculum. Ken was the 2013 recipient of the Praed Foundation’s Outcomes Champion (CANS) Award for his work in children’s systems of care and outcomes management. He has more than 20 years of experience in marriage and family therapy, education and research and is currently serving as President of the New Jersey Association for Marriage and Family Therapy (NJAMFT). Ken received his Education Specialist degree in marriage and family therapy from and his Master’s in Education from Seton Hall University.

Executive Director at MonmouthCares

Kathy Collins, LCSW has served as the Inaugural Executive Director of MonmouthCares, the Monmouth County Care Management Organization (CMO), for the past 22 years. It was back in 2001 that New Jersey ‘officially kicked off’ the implementation of a statewide children’s system of care. The rollout began in three areas (patterned on vicinages) which included Burlington, Monmouth, and Union counties.

She has continuously served as a collaborative leader throughout her illustrious career in human services. As CEO at MonmouthCares, Kathy has ensured that children, youth, emerging adults, and families throughout the county were provided with the highest levels of care and support.

Kathy has served on numerous local, county and state boards including the Monmouth County Youth Services Commission, Monmouth County Department of Human Services-Monmouth ACTS (Assisting Community Through Services) Advisory Council/MAAC and New Jersey Task Force on Child Abuse and Neglect (NJTFCAN). Her work continues as a model for others to be innovative, collaborative and outcomes driven by always remaining focused on transforming the lives of those we serve.
