Drs. Lyons & Fernando will share their expertise on how TCOM Tools can effectively support decision-making processes connected with level of care (LOC) determination. University of Kentucky’s Center for Innovation in Population Health (IPH) strives to foster strong, multi-sector collaborative relationships with key partners throughout the University, Commonwealth of Kentucky, United States and beyond. IPH’s goal is to support the identification of a common set of priorities along with a well-developed strategy for addressing population health improvement and to build a portfolio of research, evaluation, & dissemination/implementation (D&I) initiatives which support and enhance the Center’s multi-sector collaborative relationships in population health.
President and Co-Founder of Opeeka, Dr. Kate Cordell welcomes Dr. Tom Insel for a fireside chat. A psychiatrist, neuroscientist, and national leader in mental health research, policy, and technology, Dr. Insel will discuss his most recent venture Vanna Health, a start-up helping people with serious mental illness engage in psychosocial supportive care and reflect on his recent book “Healing: Our Path from Mental Illness to Mental Health”, a bold, expert, and actionable map for the re-invention of America’s broken mental health care system.
This 1-hour session will provide an interactive platform for discussions around incorporating faith & spirituality into care planning. It is important to note that the TCOM Tools, such as the Child Adolescent Needs & Strengths (CANS), includes a Spirituality/Religion item in the Strengths Section. Those who work within systems of care know the importance of both meeting needs and building strengths for supporting sustainable positive outcomes.
This 1-hour interactive session will explore the ‘life-saving’ role of Medical Assisted Treatments (MAT), specifically outlining assistive technologies, and how they can combat overdose deaths. The content of the session has been created for those who might have limited background in addiction and recovery, as well as those more advanced in clinical/administrative knowledge. We must collaborate to finally put an end to the staggering numbers of deaths, which continue to climb every year.
In this webinar we welcome in Dr. Amanda Purnell and Dr. Kate Cordell, these incredible researchers/thought-leaders share ways of utilizing data and analytics to mitigate risks for those most vulnerable to death by suicide. The session includes sharing of how research data can reveal key factors for increasing preventive efforts. Also there will be information about an innovative veterans program, Mission Daybreak, which is fostering preventive solutions across a broad spectrum of focus areas.
An interactive session with Janet Hoeke & Laura Wallis, thought-leaders, children mental-health advocates, and systems innovators who have fulfilled important roles in the building of Idaho’s Youth Empowerment Service (YES) System of Care. The hour of sharing will allow attendees to learn the importance of ‘lived experience’ and why systems of care must have parents/caregivers and youth, ‘not just sitting at the table’ rather, engaged as equal partners. In addition, ‘trust’ is essential in building an effective system of care, where all children/youth, emerging adults and families have access to high quality care in achieving successful outcomes.
During this interactive session, attendees will learn how provider agencies throughout Wisconsin have coordinated with WAFCA to keep children in-state while meeting complex treatment needs. States throughout the country are struggling to keep children/youth from having to be treated out-of-state. Emily Coddington-Associate Director of WAFCA- will detail how their Resource Connection Sessions pilot is responding to rising numbers of out-of-state placements, as well managing the destabilizing effects of the pandemic on the workforce.
This session will explore the continued need for respite to be a temporary program, including capturing data, especially in support of improvements. Specific areas of data collection around a comprehensive understanding of how much time, energy, and costs are needed, especially in support of infrastructure with intake and referral management.
